December 6th is the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas (for Western Christians), so I thought it would be an appropriate day to answer the question, “Who is Saint Nick?” The name “Santa Claus” is the English form of the Dutch name for St. Nicholas: Sinterklaas, and you can learn more about him in my “Who is Santa?” article.

One of most common questions I get from parents about Christmas is whether or not I think Santa should have any part in a Christian Christmas celebration. In response to this question, I wrote an article titled, “What to Do with Santa.”
