Nutter Butter Baby Jesus
Here is a fun and easy way to make an edible Baby Jesus in a manger. This is a great activity for little ones. I sometimes use these as the centerpieces on my “Telling the Christmas Story with Food” plates.
Ingredients:
Graham crackers
Peanut butter
Nutter Butter cookies
Nutter Butter mini rounds
White melting chocolate
Directions:
1. I start by separating the Nutter Butter cookies in half (I just scrape off the peanut butter in the middle). You can leave the cookies intact; I just thought they were a bit too bulky once dipped in the melting chocolate.
2. Melt the white chocolate and dip the cookies in it. Using a fork, allow the excess chocolate to drip off, then set the cookies on wax paper. Place a Nutter Butter mini round on top of each as a face.
3. Melt some of the chocolates in a Ziploc bag. Snip off a corner of the bag and pipe eyes and a smile on the face.
4. Place a blob of peanut butter on a plate. Break a graham cracker in half and put in the peanut butter to form a manger.
5. Place Baby Jesus in the manger.
