Bread Stuffing Recipe

This delicious bread dressing recipe is based on one from All Recipes, which uses bread. I altered the recipe to use packaged bread stuffing. Choose whichever you prefer, and enjoy!
Bread Stuffing

Ingredients:

1 bag (14 oz) seasoned bread stuffing
1 pound pork or turkey sausage
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup chopped celery
2 1/2 teaspoons dried sage
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 Golden Delicious apple, cored and chopped
3/4 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup minced fresh parsley
3 cups turkey stock
4 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:

1. In a large skillet, cook the sausage and onions over medium heat. Add the celery, sage, rosemary, and thyme, and stir for a few minutes.

2. Mix the sausage mixture and bread stuffing together in a bowl. Mix in chopped apple, dried cranberries, and parsley.

3. Add the turkey stock and melted butter, and mix lightly.

4. Allow the stuffing to cool before loosely stuffing a turkey. Or, cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
