St. Patrick’s Day Wreath
I found a cute little welcome wreath for St Patrick’s Day, but it was way too small for my front door. So, I decided to attach it to a larger grapevine wreath and dress it up with some ribbon. You can find a list of supplies and directions below.
Supplies:
I purchased all of the following supplies at Michael’s Craft Store:
St. Patrick’s Day Welcome Sign (Michael’s had a variety of options)
18″ Grapevine Wreath
2 3/4″ Burlap Ribbon (I found one with gold threaded through it)
2 3/4″ Sage Colored Ribbon
1″ St. Patrick’s Day Ribbon
Glue Gun and Scissors
Hair Spray and Gold Glitter
Directions:
1. I started by wrapping the burlap ribbon around the wreath and gluing it in place.
2. Next, I glued the wooden welcome wreath in place.
3. My original bow was made out of the burlap ribbon with a smaller St. Patrick’s Day ribbon inside, but I decided the wreath was a bit plain (see the first image below).
4. I took the wreath to my local Michael’s, and the gal that designs the floral arrangements suggested I add a sage ribbon (and she made a pretty bow for me as well). I like how the extra ribbon gives it more dimension.
5. The floral arranger also taught me a trick on how to add some sparkle. You spray a bit of hair spray on the wreath and then sprinkle a bit of glitter. You can’t really see it in the picture, but I love the extra sparkle!
