St. Patrick’s Day Mask Craft
The below craft incorporates the St. Patrick’s Day symbol of the shamrock, as well as the color green. Visit our pages on shamrocks and the color green to learn more about the symbolism and meaning of shamrocks and the color green for St. Patrick’s Day.
Kids will enjoy wearing this fun mask for the holiday!
Supplies:
Paper plate
1 Green and 2 Orange Sheets of Construction Paper
2 craft sticks
Shamrock Stickers
Elastic String
Directions:
1. Cut out the center circle of a paper plate.
2. Trace the inner circle of the paper plate onto orange construction paper. Form a “beard” around it, and cut it out. Glue to the paper plate. Use a second piece of orange construction paper to form another layer to the beard. Glue it under the first layer.
3.Cut a hat out of green construction paper and decorate with stickers. Glue craft sticks to the back of the hat to make it sturdy. Glue it to the paper plate.
4. Use a glue gun to attach elastic string to the back of the mask.
