Sugar Cookie Teacher Gift

Here is an idea that is great for Teacher Appreciation Day. This is my favorite sugar cookie recipe, and I have included free printable gift tags as well!

If you want to make the cookies on a stick, just press a cookie stick into the dough before cooking (see image below). You can find cookie sticks at a craft store (or even Walmart stores carry them). I forgot to take a picture of my star cookies, so this is from another cookie recipe. However, the concept is the same. The cookies will spread and bake up around the stick.

Here is one creative way to arrange the cookies:

I just wrapped floral foam in black butcher paper and had my kids write a note to their teacher in chalk. The cookies are wrapped in treat bags and tied with a bow.

You can also serve the cookies on a plate or in a box and just attach the tag as you like.
